The Hawthorne House
The Hawthorne House was a project from my Digital Drafting 1 class. The goal was to learn how to create a set of construction documents in AutoCAD. This project includes floor plans, elevations, and sections and details.

Phase 1:
Existing Conditions
Floor Plan
This floor plan shows the existing arrangement of walls, windows, doors, rooms, furniture, and appliances before renovation.
Phase 2:
Demolition Plan
A 12'-0" opening between the den and the dining room is cut out. The kitchen cabinets and appliances are removed.

Phase 3:
Construction Plan
The line weight, transparency, and block features in AutoCAD all help in this phase. This includes a new kitchen and furniture as well as elevation and section tags.
Phase 4:
Kitchen Elevation A
This elevation shows the design for the wall of cabinets that includes the stove. The stove has a pot filler feature, the cabinets have crown molding, and one of the cabinets has glass windows. The backsplash is a mix of subway tile and herringbone patterns.

Phase 4:
Kitchen Elevation B
This elevation shows the design for the wall that includes the farmhouse sink and a large window. The backsplash extends the subway tile pattern from elevation A. Elevation tags are located on the construction plan in Phase 3.

Phase 5:
Details
The details page includes sections of the kitchen cabinets and the exterior wall detail. All section tags are located on the construction plan in Phase 3.
