Refined Floor Plan
To practice the design process, I was given specific criteria and preferences of the Russell Family. I then created a bubble diagram, blocking plan, preliminary floor plan, and refined floor plan of a beach home. Drafted in AutoCAD

In this plan, I started to experiment with square footage in each room. The limit was 2400 square feet. Drafted in AutoCAD.

Bubble Diagram
& Block Plan
Based on the given criteria, I started forming the general size and location of each room. I considered sunlight and the ocean view when choosing the location and orientation of each room. I wanted the patio and art studio to have a nice view of the ocean for relaxation and inspiration. Illustrated in Procreate.
